Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev secured his initial title for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has had a difficult period, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and suffering a meltdown at the US Open.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serve in particular - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with long-time coach his previous coach.
Now collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the past month - peaking in a hard-fought competitive victory over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first championship since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface since spring of 2023.
The win also means he has secured twenty-one titles at 21 distinct tournaments.
"It's the first time I have attended a tournament with my both daughters together, so to get a championship is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six finals, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's counter-punching play style and recurring reactions on court had caused observers to wonder if his capacity to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, attempting to advance forward and play aggressively, backed up by an better service.
The champion fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, winning 4 of the final five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his first ATP Tour victory, gained dominance to push for a decider.
He rescued 4 early chances in a tight deciding set before the Russian secured a break to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, Medvedev earned the title with a point at the net, with Moutet failing to control a return after a lengthy match.
